GENERAL SUMMARY:
Member of team responsible for identifying and driving implementation of initiatives to ensure the quality of new features and releases of software. Works with both development and quality engineers and influences design changes to improve quality and features testability. Develops reporting requirements to resolve a variety of business-related problems. Improves reporting and analytics processes and tools as necessary. Initiates development of enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing testing methodologies and processes to ensure continuous improvement to software quality assurance standards. Researches internal and external resources to identify new tools, technologies, and test methodologies.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Develop automation tools to collect source code related metrics. · Analyze the source code related metrics and generate analysis reports · Design and maintain a test case database. · Automate the process to populate the code coverage data into the test case coverage database · Collaborate with development and testing teams to explain the analysis reports and provide advice based on the signal observed in the reports. · Influence the project managers in decision making · Lead across functional teams to develop quality improvement solutions
SKILLS: · Strong coding skill in Perl/VB/C/C++/Java · Solid knowledge of database design and development · Familiar with Microsoft Excel · Knowledge of source control tools like VSS, GIT, and Subversion · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables and manage dynamic priorities · Ability to work with geographically dispersed team · Multi-task skill · Knowledge of code coverage tools like Bullseye, Cobertura
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: · BS/MS CS, CSE, EE or Related Discipline · 7+ years object-oriented software development and database design experience.
