Position Summary Designs and develops new features for NetWorker Management Console – the user interface to EMC NetWorker backup and recovery product. Implement key UI enhancements for upcoming releases, provide improvementsand fixes to existing versions. Expand the scope, scale, performance, and reliability of the judgment, creativity and sound technical knowledge to obtain and recommend k cohesively with the rest of the team, other engineering teams, QA and Support organizations.
Principal Duties and responsibilities: · Assist with ongoing development ofNetWorker Management Console server and client · Design and develop new software components and features · Gather end user requirements through collaborative discussions · Write high level design documents
Skills/Experience Required: · Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) · 5-7 years of relevant industry experience with references · Strong knowledge of C language, Windows, Linux and Solaris operating systems. AIX and HP-UX is a plus. · Strong knowledge ofJava language. Swing experience is a plus. · Solid user interface design and development · Working knowledge of networking, sockets, TCP/IP, multi-threading, client-server, and inter-process communication. · Experience with storage systems is a plus · Problem solving capabilities andanalytical skills · Solidknowledge and application of engineering concepts · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Ability to work in a team environment · Enthusiasm to learn new tools and technologies · References are required
