Role Summary/Purpose We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated technical leader who is equally adept as a single contributor and in mentoring others in producing the highest quality enterprise software. Our development philosophy is to assemble small agile teams of 5-7 people, consisting of individuals with strong skill sets and a team player attitude.
Essential Responsibilities In this role, you will work across teams to design and implement critical components, provide architectural mentoring and oversight, contribute to the technical roadmap and participate in new product planning.

Essential Responsibilities

.Articulate and educate others on how the architecture supports our vision and communicate the strategy both internally and externally
.Work with other development teams to ensure consistent architecture and design between products / projects and drive down technical debt as well as reduce the rate at which new technical debt is incurred
.Participate in product and technical roadmap discussions including evaluating and recommending new technologies and third party software products
.Work with groups outside of R&D - Product Management, Quality Engineering, Client Services, Sales, Marketing, external stakeholders and customers - to ensure product meets market, quality, and serviceability requirements and opportunities
.Translate business requirements into technical use case and design specifications
.Design and development of core application workflows (both front-end and back-end), application business logic and components, frameworks and reusable components
.Provide technical leadership and mentoring for other developers and conduct Design and Code Reviews
.Participate in Agile Project & Task Planning and Status Reporting
.Work within the guidelines and processes developed for FDA-regulated product development
Qualifications/Requirements .Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or high school diploma/GED with significant relevant professional experience)
.Minimum of 5 years' experience with C#, .NET.
.Minimum of 3 years' experience with WPF, and with WCF.
.Experience defining architectural design and end-to-end development of enterprise-class software applications for commercial release
.Experience defining data models and schema design using SQL Server, Oracle and/or other enterprise databases
.Must be a self-starter with excellent communication, problem solving, negotiation, conflict resolution and analytical skills
.Advanced knowledge of design patterns and architectural patterns
.Knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based operating systems and experience delivering commercial software products on Windows, both desktop and web-based

Desired Characteristics .Master's Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
.Familiar with start-up company culture and ability to help create and thrive in that environment.
.Experience in the Healthcare IT market and understanding of IHE, HL7, DICOM, etc..
.Experience delivering products in an FDA-regulated environment.
.Experience in writing technical documentation.
.Proven ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly and work in a highly collaborative team-oriented environment.
.Good understanding of agile software development principles including full-life cycle software development, proven ability to lead engineering teams working in an Agile methodology environment.
