Project Parsons is providing staffing augmentation to support various military base installations under a Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) contract. Our assignments include field inspection, design review and construction management, project scope development assistance, monitoring of schedules, budgets, and payment estimates, status report preparation, change order management, and subcontractor management. This position will be based at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.
Need
Parsons requires a principal electrical engineer with expertise in reviewing construction drawings for hospitals, medical centers and/or educational facilities. The successful candidate will have significant field experience to provide engineering recommendations for electrical upgrades according to client specifications, approved plans, and industry sanctioned electrical engineering and construction practices. You will be instrumental in solving design problems related to the installation of electrical control, equipment, power generation and electrical systems on multiple projects. This position may also entail preparing schedules, budgets and status reports. Good communication and willingness to work as part of a team will be keys to your success.
Qualifications
* 10+ years of electrical engineering experience with hospitals, medical centers and educational facility projects, preferably for military bases or installations * Demonstrated expertise in reviewing construction drawings of electrical systems, equipment and power generation installations * Thorough knowledge of relevant building codes, testing methods, and safety practices * B.S. in electrical engineering from an accredited university and current P.E. * Proof of US Citizenship and ability to pass a background check * ReLocation: is not offered for this opportunity, local candidates are preferred
