Title: PLM Process Improvement and Implementation Consultant Location: VA: VIRGINIA-FALLS CHURCH We are currently seeking Logistics Professionals experienced in redesigning and implementing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts and solutions to support various federal client consulting engagements and PLM offering development. Essential Job Functions * Provides solution development support and periodic contributions to business development and sales efforts including written responses to federal RFIs and RFPs. * Adept at understanding and documenting current state processes within the PLM area (such as CAD & technical order authoring, requirements management, systems engineering and project management) and creates business process models. * Participates in and occasionally leads blueprinting/process design workshops and assists with the definition and documentation of future state processes within the PLM area. * Utilizes knowledge base to create conceptual business models and displays subject matter expertise with identifying relevant issues, constraints, and considerations involving PLM applications often including interoperability within an ERP environment. * Implements redesigned PLM processes enabled by Siemens TeamCenter PLM applications including design, configuration, testing and deployment * Assist with defining methods of assembling product configuration data from multiple sources * Assists with the analysis of expected operational benefits and related business casesSecondary Job Functions: * Supports business design activities related to application software, data and packaged solutions (Business). * Analyzes requirements and develops high-level and detailed business process designs to the elementary business process (EBP) level and derived logical process (DLP) level (Business). * Coordinates acceptance testing and creates high complexity test scripts for the business area that contain multiple cases and cycles (Business). * Contributes to applying the Catalyst framework, in the role played, to determine the methodological steps that are appropriate for an engagement (Methodology). * Leads a team of 3-5 company resources, in area of expertise, to conclusion of a project phase (Management). * Designs and reviews designs for the user system interface (USI) for business applications (Technical). * Establishes credibility at all levels with clients and builds problem-solving partnerships with clients and colleagues (Relationship Management). * Understands the sales process, its information and support requirements, and assists business developers in identifying or qualifying leads (Leverage). Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience * Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field preferred * Three or more years of experience in business analysis and design, preferably within a consulting environment * Experience working with issues and considerations for selecting business application packages and vendors * Experience working with delivery assurance principles and procedures Secondary Qualifications * Significant PLM application experience/exposure (Siemens TeamCenter, Dassault/Matrix One, PTC Windchill, Oracle/Agile, etc.) * Prior working experience with the Department of Defense's logistics systems desirable * Good analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation, testing * Working knowledge of the Supply Chain Operational Reference (SCOR) model and working knowledge of the Design Chain Operational Reference (DCOR) model a plus * PMP certification a plus Other Qualifications * One to two years of additional relevant experience in a particular business or industry specialty area * Strong analysis and design skills * Good communication skills * Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment * Ability to devise creative business solutions * Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with complex business problems * Willingness to travel
