Title: Planner, Maintenance at Houston Refining
Location: TX-Houston

Main objective of the planner is to produce plans that allow maintenance crafts to work safely and efficiently.
*
Responsible for the daily planning of Mechanical work and the creation of "master task list" for area of responsibility.
*
Assists the Purchasing group and the Material Coordinator in the procurement of materials and services.
*
Actively participates in planning and scheduling meetings. Communicates with the FLS, Material Coordinator, Scheduler, and operations " Gatekeeper " to solicit feedback on job plans.
*
Assists in the creation and / or changes of equipment BOM's, and SAP Master Data.
*
May provide support for any complex emergency maintenance issues during off-hours.
*
Reviewing backlog and planning list for duplicates.
*
Grouping notifications together that can be planned and worked as a single order that optimizes utilization of resources.
*
Insuring plans are in place that meets the timing requirements of the process units.
*
Checking for understanding of scope through notification text and field walk through.
*
Building job plans that clearly show special instructions and required documentation such as MOC information, QAQC needs, P&ID's, spec sheets, required skill crafts and duration, specialty tools, equipment and reserve or create purchase orders for necessary components. Participate in the bidding process and requisitioning of third party services.

Forwarding job packages to the Maintenance Supervisor/Lead man.
*
Participating in the identification and implementation of reliability driven improvements.

High School Graduate plus a minimum of 8 years Mechanical (fixed equipment) experience in the refining or petrochemical field. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance planning using SAP.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident).
