You will be exposed to all phases of back-end design from receipt of a netlist from our logic design team to delivery of our final GDSII database to our SOC customers. Primary focus will be working to optimize performance, power and area utilizing the latest in tools and methods.Common EssentialDuties & Resp. Duties/Responsibilities will include some subset of the following: â?¢ Floorplan generation. â?¢ Place and route. â?¢ High speed timing closure, ECO and timing fixes. â?¢ Clock generation and optimization. â?¢ Power analysis and optimization. â?¢ Back-end flow optimization. â?¢ Synthesizing RTL code. â?¢ Writing automation scripts in Perl/Tcl/other languages. Background /Experience Familiarity with CMOS circuit design concepts. Knowledge of Synopsys tools. Familiarity with VLSI and/or high speed design flows such as synthesis, timing analysis, floor planning, and physical verification. Strong programming and scripting skills (Perl, C, Tcl) and web based languages. Necessary Skills /Attributes Several years of industry experience in back-end design for GPU's and/or CPU's.
