PC Tech. - MAC:
Can perform 3rd level support of desktop hardware in a Windows\MAC environment using TCP/IP connectivity. Must have a strong working knowledge of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software and system operating loads, problem ticket resolution and end user application support. Understands and effectively supports DISH specific applications.
Installs software, hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, network interface cards and disk drives. Performs PC hardware and software installations and configurations.
Installs approved communication devices (Cellular and Wireless) to include, but not limited to, setup, server configuration, desk\laptop configuration, profiles, account connections, and troubleshooting.
Coordinates and supports activities assigned by the Service Desk, network services, or other information systems groups.
Provides updates, status, and completion information according to published procedures. Enters and completes work order and service call information via the approved tracking system. Logs all repairs and services performed; prepares progress reports.
Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.
Maintains inventory of capital equipment and computer parts used in performing maintenance.
Works under limited supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals according to company policies and standards. Applies mastery of skills in adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment, as appropriate.
Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. May orient, train, assign and review work of new employees.
Hardware/software installations on Apple workstations and laptops. Set up new machines and maintain with updates/patches. Troubleshoot LAN, server and connectivity issues. Re-image machines, perform data migrations and restorations, and conduct remote problem solving.Work closely with Server team for resolutions pertaining to the Apple environment. Preferred experience with Adobe CS products, Apple Final Cut Studio, Cisco AnyConnect VPN, and Apple Remote Desktop.
This position requires night and weekend work on an ‘on-call’ basis. High school diploma or equivalent, related degree where appropriate, and 2-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
