The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for developing novel, innovative, economical packaging.
The Packaging Engineer will also lead projects and other initiative to implement changes in existing packaging to increase productivity, reduce waste, minimize costs and increase profitability.
THE COMPANY
Our client is a leading supplier of specialty chemicals for the automotive industry. They operate their own packaging operations with plastic bottle manufacturing and filling lines.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is seeking a Packaging Engineer for their plant in the Midwest, who will be responsible for developing novel, innovative, economical packaging. The Packaging Engineer will develop and implement packaging development projects that will reduce process waste and reduce the requirement for components that cannot be recycled.
The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for reviewing packaging designs and configurations, as well as for recommending changes to meet stated goals. The Packaging Engineer will lead projects and other initiative to implement changes in existing packaging to increase productivity, reduce waste, minimize costs and increase profitability.
The Packaging Engineer will develop and implement programs and procedures for testing prototypes, identifying, as well as specifying and recommending necessary equipment to make packaging changes. The Packaging Engineer will utilize Auto Cad to create drawings and product design plans. The Packaging Engineer will work with plant management to lead projects for the implementation of packaging changes and the review of current packaging configurations and designs.
This position is located in the Midwest US.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
10+ years packaging and/ or packaging engineering experience.
