Alstom Power Services Arabia (APSA) operates one of the most advanced service facilities in the Middle East, with an advanced gas turbine blade and rotor reconditioning centre and a fully equipped generator service workshop with capabilites to repair and rewind generator rotors and stators and conduct high speed balancing and electrical tests on rotors in the Middle East's only spin pit.
We're looking for you to make a major contribution to our Gas Turbine Service Centre, based inDubai, UAE.
Your primary responsibilities will be to execute coating orders for gas turbine components with our robotic controlled thermal spray coating equipment. You will be responsible for all necessary quality documentation and assure execution of coating orders within the given time and cost frame. Your tasks include the component preparation, pre- and post processing, machine calibration, the daily and preventive maintenance, to improve the process flows, quality and efficiency in the work centre. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing new components and individually program the robot control unit.
The ideal candidate has a formal technical education with at least 4 years experience in application of corrosion and oxidation resistant metallic coatings ideally on hot gas path components of gas turbines with LPPS/VPS and/or HVOF coating equipment. Additional experience in robot programming and/or CNC programming is required.
You must demonstrate proven skills in executing and organizing production orders and show a high focus on quality, costs and efficiency. Self-motivated with a strong customer focus, you have the ability to work and to communicate effectively. Fluency in English and strong written communication is mandatory.
