II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Directs and coordinates production, processing, and distribution within the organization. 2. Responsible for facility budget process to insure adequate planning of capital and service expenditures. 3. Develops process plans to include people, resources, equipment, and floor space needed to meet customer requirements and organizational goals. 4. Reviews operations and corroborates with technical or other staff to resolve production or process problems. 5. Develops and maintains an extremely high level of operating knowledge of our ERP system 6. Responsible for the maintenance of detailed schedules to ensure customer shipment dates and equipment specifications are met or exceeded. 7. Improves production methods, equipment performance, and the quality of the products. 8. Champions continuous improvement. 9. Communicates company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations 10. Coordinates overall manpower requirements for the facility 11. Champions Lean Manufacturing concepts and principles, including continuous improvement. 12. Hires, trains, evaluates, and, if required, discharges staff, and resolve personnel grievances. 13. Initiates and suggests methods to foster teamwork, motivation, and an overall satisfying work environment 14. Supports selling activities based on shop floor load, inventory levels, etc. 15. Ensures schedules are met for high-level of On-Time Deliveries (OTD) 16. Responsible for all RMA activity including customer service 17. Ensures Management of inventories (Raw, WIP and FG) to have the right material at the right place at the right time in the right quantities 18. Leads in problem solving activities, in order to help meet our customers expectations and increase the organizations ability to problem solve 19. Responsible for product shipments and meeting financial goals 20. Works with the teams and team leaders to focus on improved documentation, processes, and methods in manufacturing. These improvements include Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and pull manufacturing, to name a few. 21. Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods to eliminate waste and improve efficiency of operations. 22. Coordinates new equipment purchases through ROI analysis and other required justifications
Education/Experience: A Bachelor's Degree (B. S.), Electrical Engineering preferred, from a four-year college or university with 10 years related experience in a manufacturing environment. Technical Ability Understand and apply the principles of Manufacturing and state of the art manufacturing processes in a lean manufacturing environment. Trouble shoots both mechanical and electrical assemblies and repair as practical. Math/Physics Ability: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as integral and differential calculus, linear algebra, and statistics and probability to the solution of engineering and technical problems. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic Electrical and Mechanical CAD software; Manufacturing software; Database software; Mathematical software; General office software (word processing, internet, email). Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret specifications, procedures, and manuals to include regulatory standards and government regulations. Ability to write technical reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
