Specific Job Description Responsibilities include the identification of customer specific requirements, regulatory requirements, and the implementation of best practices for all aspects of gas turbine MRO operations. This role requires the ability to work across organizational boundaries, the ability to communicate, train, and transfer the best-practice skills and standard methods. This function is also expected to provide execution leadership and guidance on new processes for the Production Engineering Organizations to include:
. Product Line Support for the TF39, CF6 and F110/F118 engine programs as well as future engine program start-ups in the future. Major supporting tasks include but are not limited to the following: o Technical Interface to Customer o Engine Management Plans o Workscope Development and Revisions as required. o Configuration Management - Bill of Materials, Process Orders & Shop Papers o Deviation requests o Troubleshoot technical issues throughout the depot and engine test process. o Resolve Work stoppage situations with best solution approach. o Update Military Engine Records for work performed
. Back-Shop Support for MRO operations to include but are not limited to: o Programming & Technical Troubleshooting of problems on High Speed Grinders, Balancers, VTLs, Accessory Shop Equipment & Test Cells. o Comprehensive support for Metrology/Calibration o Machine Shop development to support current & future business needs. o Develop & implement best practices for optimum engine build for performance. o Prepare Deficiency Report for quality or material deficiencies along with safety investigation board reviews. o Engine test cell performance reviews prior to release of engine to customer o Material Review Board - processing of condemned materials. o Determine root cause for items that are lost, damage or destroyed throughout the repair cycle.
