Specific Job Description The successful candidate will possess the technical skills/experience in Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement (CI); analyze maintenance performance trend data and assess current processes, performance trends and identify areas of improvement; prioritize and methodically develop and execute corrective action plans to identified areas of improvement. A working knowledge of material control, production control, material management and customer support systems is also important for success in this position.

This position will be responsible for ongoing performance metrics of the Pax River ITF Maintenance and Logistics Department. Areas of involvement and support may include: Quality Management, Performance Assessment, Program Management, Safety, FOD, Deployment Planning and Corrective Action. Additionally, this position will be responsible for coordinating and leading various cost, schedule and process improvement projects. This person serves as a resource to leadership and employees for understanding Lean Six Sigma methodology, Continuous Improvement processes and various approaches to implementation. The position requires an individual to build effective interfaces with functional organizations, various program managers, and customer representatives. This person will be a recognized practitioner of Lean Six Sigma Methodology, Continuous Improvement in a Production Environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with ability to interface at all levels of the organization are key attributes to success in this position. This individual needs to have a proven track record to energize and facilitate teams coupled with experience in problem solving, process improvement, a strong background in project management and a Green Belt Certification. Must be proficient in MS Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
