Operational Excellence Manager (code SR) Country United States Work Location NY, Seneca Falls Job Description The Operational Excellence Manager is responsible to lead large scale and complex financials implementation across multiple value centers and management companies and effectively coordinate with project teams, provide the managerial and technical expertise necessary to support the efforts of the project team, develop effective processes and control structures to optimize the project team capabilities, create and execute project work plans and revise as needed to meet changing needs and requirements. The Operational Excellence Manager will fffectively apply the project methodologies and enforce project standards, evaluate and monitor the progress of multiple objectives and tasks throughout the course of the project, prepare for team reviews and quality assurance procedures, and ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Major responsibilities include:
-Manage the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the degree to which the project goals, objectives and metrics are being met, and provide project status and results and take corrective actions as required to improve on below-target results
-Leadership of front-end process improvement involving cross functional support and participation including teamwork, OTP, and quality improvement.
-Provide technical and supervisory/managerial guidance necessary to support and direct: documentation/analysis of organizational/operational structure; documentation/analysis of internal/external information flows and requirements in diverse operating areas; data development and analysis necessary to support recommendations and alternatives; quantification of alternatives and presentations of recommendations to maximize effective utilization of project resources; team member development; anticipation and removal of project barriers; leadership of teams to execute projects with established problem solving methodology
-Ensure project activities are integrated and aligned with other business activities, improvement projects and business strategies and coordinated with project/process owners to accomplish project goals
-Provide necessary training, coaching and consultation to team members to spread the knowledge base of project process, tools and lean principles and their application in project implementations
-Communicate best practices and key learning across the organization
-Identify implications of Lean project implementation (synergies and breakdowns) Required Experience: Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, or Finance
Experience:
-Minimum 5-10 years experience in SAP Project Management and Finance
Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
-PMI certified
-Black Belt and Lean Master certification preferred
-10 + years of overall project management experience
-Demonstrated track record of successfully planning and managing larger-scale project implementations from start to finish.
