These end products are focused primarily for applications in the Mobile Market such as high-end smartphones or next generation tablet computers. The mobile market is one of the fastest growing areas in the consumer electronics space and is competing to displace the classic computer design as most desirable area to work as a designer. Our designs will be fabricated using some of the most advanced CMOS process technologies available and by utilizing the latest in CAD tools and design methods. The CAD/methodology team is responsible for VLSI design automation for complex processor and graphics designs to meet challenging timing, power and area goals, and enabling high productivity for the design team. As a member of this team you would be involved in developing and supporting CAD tools and utilities for various aspects of the chip design flow. such as logic synthesis, design verification, place & route optimization, clock optimization, custom circuit design, timing and noise analysis, power estimation, circuit checking, CAD tool infrastructure, design data base management and design quality indicator generation. The job requires experience with Unix/X-windows, strong skill in programming and scripting in C++, Perl, Tcl, etc., and experience on web based user interfaces based on HTML and CGI/Perl programmingCommon EssentialDuties & Resp. Duties/Responsibilities will include some subset of the following â?¢ CAD tools and flows for logic synthesis, validation, DFT and Verilog simulation â?¢ CAD tools and flows for place and route, clock generation, and verification checks â?¢ CAD tools for custom circuit design and circuit checks â?¢ Design database management â?¢ IT infrastructure â?¢ Developing automation scripts in Perl/Tcl/other languages. Background /Experience Background/Experience desired in one or more of these areas â?¢ Coursework relevant to digital design and methodology â?¢ Familiarity with CMOS circuit design â?¢ Power estimation and analysis â?¢ Knowledge of advanced design tools such as Cadence or Synopsys â?¢ Experience with Verilog, validation or DFT â?¢ Familiarity with VLSI and/or high speed design flows such as synthesis, timing analysis, floor planning, and physical verification â?¢ Strong programming and scripting skills (Perl, C++, Tcl) and web based languages â?¢ Configuration management tools and methodologies (rcs, cvs, git,â?¦.)
