Job Title Network/IT security Job ID Number S09-11336 Company General Dynamics C4 Systems Location Prince George's County, MD Job Category Information Technology Job Description The candidate selected for this position will become part of the Greenbelt Programs office located in Seabrook MD. Responsibilities will include supporting network and security activities for various contacts, including NASA, NOAA, and related activities within the Seabrook office. As a security point of contact, to work with various customers preparing them for IT Security Certification and Accreditation. Support includes, development of IT security documentation, compliance to FISMA and OMB reporting requirements, NIST continuous monitoring activities, and supporting System Administrators in the implementation of security controls. Act as a key subject matter expert of the Greenbelt Programs team to insure that the architecture, system requirements, and software developed by the customer or subcontractor meets the NIST certification requirements. Effort includes defining and allocating system security requirements to hardware and software. The candidate will perform security fault analysis to ensure that the system/equipment meets requirements and make recommendations for increased security based on the analysis. The candidate will provide design support to systems, hardware and software team members to ensure that the security requirements are met in the design and implementation phases. Additional responsibilities include supporting new business acquisition and mentoring junior engineers in security/information assurance design and analysis methodology. Candiate must have a thorough understanding of network protocols, network devices, computer security devices, secure architecture, and system administration in support of computer forensics and network security operations. Have the ability to communicate with all levels of clients, manage project timelines, follow methodologies, and create/present clear, concise deliverables. The candidate will have strong technical skills with subject matter expertise in one or more of the following specialties: - Intrusion Detection Systems - Security Information Management - Incident Management - Security Portal Development - Configuration Management - CIS Benchmarks - Two factor authentication - NIST 800 special publications - Mastery of tools used in incident detection and handling. - Active Directory - Vulnerability Scans- COMSEC Management - Firewalls - Virtual Private Networks (VPN) Security Certifications (CISSP, GCFA Security, SANS certificates) considered as a plus.
Basic Qualifications: BA or BS degree - 5+ years of experience with network device implementation and deployment, including routers, switches, firewalls, IDS, proxies, or gateways -3 year of experience with C&A -2+ years of experience with network security integration, including network device configuration or high availability -Experience with briefing team leads on technical and functional issues -Experience with authoring network, system, or infrastructure documentation and client-ready deliverables -Experience with the Federal agencies -Experience with a variety of network topologies, including wired, wireless, or satellite -Experience as a Cisco Certified Network Engineer or a related field -Experience with Cisco networking products -Ability to participate in network evaluations to determine alignment with functional and security requirements -Possession of excellent oral communications skills.
