Network Engineer 3

Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Must be able to research engineering data, technical manuals, and other subject matter experts to develop and sustain technical data and training materials.


Basic Qualifications: 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with didate must have a current Top Secret DoD clearance and be willing to submit to polygraph. Additionally, the ability to obtain and retain a Program Security Clearance is required as condition of employment. Must have Basic computer skills i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of EVMS a plus.
