Position Description The purpose of this role is to perform as a team member to support Battlefield Communication Systems (BCS) in the day to day maintenance within a workshop environment. The successful candidate will also be required to give assistance to the Operation Cell progressing Incident Reports (IRs) raised on BCS, ensuring all (IRs) are carried out in line with Gold Service agreement. The successful candidate will be required to take part in a callout roster (on-call approximately one week in five) to provide technical support to BCS deployments. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate technical skills and capabilities that are used to produce outcomes that meet technical quality, cost and schedule requirements and support a cooperative and collaborative work environment. Other tasks include:
Manage the throughput of BCS equipment through the workshop processes making sure all changes are recorded and maintained to Configuration Control. Analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of problems and incidents; Coordinate with suppliers for service delivery. Maintenance of BCS network systems. Identification, analysis and documentation of requirements for upgrades to BCS. Research, develop, document and deploy emerging technologies and techniques. Develop and implement cost control action plans for upgrades to BCS. Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects.

Other Job related information Position is initially in Bicester, UK but will move to Milton Keynes between Jul 12 & Mar 13 there will be no relocation expenses paid. Some travel to MOD sites will be required and therefore a clean driving licence required. There is an on Call requirement for out of hours one week in five.
