Network Administrator
Design, install, maintain and repair standardized network configurations for theater command and control network layer 2 and 3 switching and routing devices. Design, install, maintain and repair layer 3 LAN, VLAN routing, physical layer and fiber optic ign, install, maintain and repair using techonologies using OSPF routing, EIGRP routing, multicast video-to-IP routing, VOIP, IP PIM routing, STP, and WAN BGP routing protocols. Performs detailed troubleshooting and repair/replacement of Cisco routing, switching, firewall equipment, KIV-7 and TACLANE COMSEC equipment, Pairgain, and CAT 5 and 6 cabling. Design and install Protected Distribution Systems (PDS) in accordance with government and local command policy. Perform detailed troubleshooting with CiscoWorks, SolarWinds, Micosoft tools such as PING, NBTSTAT, TRACEROUTE, IPCONFIG and ARP. Contribute to the overall design and improvements of network infrastructure. Coordinate with other contractors to ensure success. Document network configurations and diagrams. Performs other duties as assigned.
