Navy Program Admin Support

Candidates must possess an active SECRET clearance or be eligible to receive an interim SECRET clearance within 30 days of employment.
BAE Systems seeks a highly organized individual with broad knowledge and experience in program office administrative support for a major program within the US Navy. The position involves extensive interaction with Navy customers, Navy activities, and other support contractors. Candidates must have the ability to work within a team structure to form agreeable solutions to resolve program office issues. Some travel may be required.
The selected applicant will be responsible for: providing on-site support to the deputy program manager in the areas of program administrative actions/issues, organizational processes, personnel, training, briefings, correspondence, conferences/meetings, security, travel, business calendars, process improvements, awards, etc. The position requires on-site customer support approximately 90% of the time.

REQUIRED:
1. Thorough understanding of Navy correspondence policies and procedures.
2. Ability to interact positively and effectively with others.
3. Expertise with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
4. Knowledge of government travel regulations and the Defense Travel System (DTS).
5. Familiarity with DoD security requirements.
6. Basic understanding of Navy HR practices from a staffing perspective (billet tracking, position descriptions, etc.).
7. Ability to manage and coordinate a dynamic business calendar.
8. Flexibility to quickly and smoothly transition between efforts.
9. Ability to build consensus among individuals to resolve issues.
10. Active SECRET clearance or be eligible to receive an interim SECRET clearance within 30 days of employment.
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
12. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
13. Experience in identifying and tracking the status of events required to complete/resolve program actions and issues.
DESIRED:
1. Knowledge of Navy public affairs policies and practices.
2. Thorough understanding of government travel regulations and experience in use of the Defense Travel System (DTS).
3. Working knowledge of the Navy's NAVFIT program.
4. Broad knowledge of DOD organization and interrelationships.
5. General Knowledge of Navy program management.
