Location and teamKEMA-Powertest, LLC, located in Chalfont, Pennsylvania, USA, is the largest high power electrical testing laboratory in the United States providing electrical power, dielectric and mechanical testing services to a variety of clients from government and industry. It is seeking a Test Engineer to develop and conduct test programs to meet customer and/or industry standards requirements for electrical/ mechanical equipment, analyze data and provide comprehensive reporting of test results.
Tasks may include
• Prepare detailed test procedures based on industry standards or the client's test plan.
• Identify equipment requirements to conduct each test and coordinate scheduling to ensure the availability of this equipment.
• Monitor test preparation and execution to ensure safety of the personnel and equipment utilized in conducting each test.
• Analyze test results, prepare a comprehensive written report, and/or review test results with customer representative.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable ANSI, IEEE, IEC, UL and other standards.
• Assist in the design, construction and installation of equipment as required to improve test operations.
What we're asking
• BS in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on electrical power
• 2+ years electrical test engineering experience on electrical power equipment preferred
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for client and team communication
• Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, IEC, UL and other standards preferred
• Familiarity with a CAD software program a plus
• Travel to client sites may be required
• May require climbing, working in confined spaces and other unusual work environments
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required
• Ability to learn and, at all times, adhere to proper safety protocols is required
