Mgr Programs 2/Deputy Program Manager
Northrop Grumman Technical Services is seeking a skilled Deputy Program Manager to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This candidate will provide support to the Program Manager and must have the ability to direct all phases of programs from inception through completion and be responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. The position requires leading one or more teams engaged in the web-based system engineering, design, integration, implementation and modification of development projects for DHS clients. The position will be located in McLean, VA and requires experience preparing project execution plans, schedules, and identifying appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team. The qualified applicant must have knowledge and experience leading database administrators, developers, business systems analysts and software test engineers. The qualified applicant may participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Responsibilities will include: preparing operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of a contract, be the primary customer contact for program activities as well as leading program review sessions with the customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. The candidate must be able to establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and testing.
Basic Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a Bachelors Degree (Master's Degree preferred) in a related field along with at least 10 years experience in a technical management, engineering management, and/or project management discipline. The applicant must have an advanced level of understanding in software engineering. The qualified candidate must have a working knowledge of the MS Office Suite and possess excellent communication skills. The applicant must be a U.S. citizen and be eligible for security clearance (Secret or higher preferred). Current DHS clearance required.
