Job Code: 47133 Job Title: Mfg Software Engineer City: CHIPPEWA FALLS State/Province: WI Job Description: Candidate should be able to maintain, enhance, and develop test infrastructure and software test automation tools to exercise SGI or commodity hardware in a manufacturing environment. Typically will be working with Linux OS. May be asked to work with MPI based tests, testing of graphics processing units, and infiniband networking tools/infrastructure. Expect to work in a team atmosphere on manufacturing test codes and projects. Provide technical guidance and feedback on new projects and software features. Organize and participate in design, code, and test reviews. May be required to analyze and dignose failing systems and failing tests in complex situations. Work with Design Engineering to prepare software testing tools and automation for new product introductions. Job Requirements: BS Degree in Computer Science / Programming or AS Degree in Programming with equivalent experience.
At least 3 years suitable industry work experience. Experience with testing and troubleshooting computer hardware with software tools and automation.
Experience or familiarity with the following would be beneficial: K/C/Perl shell scripting C Programming Assembler code BIOS / BMC flashing tools KDB / GDB debuggers Parallel programming with MPI or SHMEM Cluster managers OFED diags and tools Networking in general (IP and Ethernet) PXE and gPXE
