Specific Job Description Responsible for the calibration and repair of all types of test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Requires sound knowledge of precision measurement methodologies and principles. Candidate will have responsibility for electrical and dimensional calibrations including, but not limited to; length, force, flow, pressure, mass, torque, temperature, humidity, vibration, voltage, current, resistance, RF power, and frequency. Should have complete understanding of measurement traceability and be competent interpreting and converting specifications. Must be familiar with metrological quality requirements and have the ability to create electronic records of work performed. Must be capable of performing component level troubleshooting and repair. Must be familiar with laboratory safety requirements.
Standard Job Description Is responsible for; calibrating, testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing malfunctions, repairing, performing preventative maintenance and rework of Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Additional responsibilities include; maintaining and completing records and paperwork required to document activities, working with assigned engineers to assist in the development of test methodologies and/or troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment, recommending changes in methods and/or procedures, soldering, drilling, riveting, tying, clean up and all operations incidental to the work described herein. Performs work in accordance with instructions/information contained in such documents as tool orders, calibration history records, engineering drawings, Technical Orders (TOs), vendor manuals and internally developed calibration instructions, must be able to interpret schematics and blueprints. Equipment supported may be of a physical/dimensional nature or of an electrical/electronic nature and work may be performed in a laboratory environment or on-site.

Typical Minimums Military technical traning or Associates degree in related field and four year applicable experience.
