Nypro Asheville Apply for this Job Job Description: Coordinate, plan, & manage all operational activities in the metrology lab. Directly train employees in Metrology Lab and equipment use.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for overall direction, coordination & monitoring of department personnel Provide metrology advice & blueprint interpretation for all departments & customers Have a thorough understanding of metrology equipment & techniques Contact & non-contact DCC inspection equipment (CMM, Video/Optical) Geometric dimensioning & tolerancing PC-DMIS, and Measure Mind Software for programming Part Measurements OGP Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility studies Assist in developing & designing custom gauging & fixturing Execute & improve calibration activities & methods Provide training in Metrology & other related technical areas Maintain all required documentation and records Nypro Inc. EHS policy (AV-SFT-2009-0018) Comply with Nypro Standard Operating Procedures and Industry Standards Perform other non-essential duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience: Must be able to read, write & comprehend English. Associate Degree or equivalent in combination with work & experience 5 years metrology laboratory experience Comprehensive knowledge of CMM's with programming ability Completion of required Paulson, cGMP and job related training
