The Department

Manufacturing/Production– One of the most critical needs we now have at SpaceX is for Manufacturing/Production engineers. With two vehicles flight proven, we have a $3 billion backlog of sold flights. The next critical phase is proving our ability to build rockets with increasing speed while maintaining quality in order to meet the markets high demand. We are looking to add manufacturing engineers throughout the company.

The Job

Responsibilities

* Set up tooling, raw material plate on machine and spin components
* Work with Engineering on tool and component design for additional spin-formed parts
* Develop necessary spin techniques for various material types, sizes, and configurationsRequirements

* 10 years of experience required with hydraulic and manual spinning lathes, using heat to material during spinning
* Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
* Must demonstrate some physical dexterity in order to correctly set up tooling and hardware
