Engine & Control Systems (E&CS) provides complete jet engine controls and accessory packages. From the fuel tank to the igniters, we have the resources and expertise to design, qualify, and manufacture first in class central systems for our aerospace engine customers.
POSITION SUMMARY:
HS's Engine and Control Systems business unit and the "Next Generation Product Family" NGPF team is looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to manage the execution of various Mechanical Components and systems on PW's Geared Turbofan engine in support of the MRJ/BA/A320 programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing all aspects of the assigned component(s) including design completion), hardware logistics and delivery mgmt, Earned value planning and tracking, DTC, DTW, Risk mgmt, hardware DVT and Qualification
- Play a critical role in PW's all-out push to regain market share in the single-aisle arena and our Mechanical systems are a family-platform that has a great deal of growth potential on future applications such as Swordfish,Embraer and Boeing 737 replacement
The successful candidate will lead and supervise an Integrated Product Development team that works with engine system engineers, aircraft manufacturers and component suppliers.
Some travel to work with approved suppliers may be necessary.

- 3-7yrs experience in Mechanical Project Engineering
- Experience in Pump, Valve and Mechanical packaging a plus
- Experience with operating within PW's system is also a plus
- Must be able to work well in a team environment and have the ability to coordinate design requirements with airframe manufacturers and component suppliers
