| Description: MECHANICAL ENGINEER - PRINCIPAL Our client is a global specialist in the provision of engineering, construction and project management services to the mining and mineral processing industry. The Role: The Company currently has an immediate permanent opening for a Mechanical Engineer at the senior level. This role will be based in the Vancouver office, although time may be required spent working from other offices and project sites. The role of the Principal Mechanical Engineer will be to deliver mechanical engineering in line with project/s or study requirements and our clients engineering standards. Depending upon project requirements, the Principal Mechanical Engineer is often accountable for the design of a complete physical area and is required to coordinate and review the activities of other mechanical engineers. The key challenge is to manage the delivery of their personal engineering design while reviewing and providing expertise to other mechanical engineers on the project or study. The Principal Mechanical Engineer is also expected to develop multi-disciplined engineering knowledge in this role. The Candidate: Applicants for this role must have the following skills and requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering Must be a . in British Columbia, or eligible for registration Minimum 10+years mechanical engineering experience in base and precious metal extractive mineral processing especially in Gold Must have mineral processing, mining industry experience Significant mechanical engineering design experience with crushing, grinding, materials handling, flotation, CIL/CIP, slurry, pumping, slurry agitation, particle size classification and separation Proven experience leading design teams within a multi discipline engineering, procurement and construction management environment Prior experience in a supervisory capacity and in industry related operations or research Ability to lead small teams Commitment to mentoring and coaching of personnel Proven ability to resolve technical issues, manage, motivate and influence employees at all levels Well developed written and oral skills Willingness to travel To Apply: Individuals meeting the criteria above are encouraged to submit their resume, with cover letter to MICHELLE JOHNSON by emailing .
