Mechanical Engineer
New Hampshire Industries (NHI) is a metal forming and machining business located in Lebanon, NH. NHI is part of a global, multi plant business with locations in Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Mexico and China. We are looking for an energetic, hands on individual with project management experience who enjoys taking an active role in all aspects of the engineering function. This position reports to the engineering manager and is a key individual involved in developing new products and processes.
Responsibilities:
Design new value added products from the idea phase through proven production ready designs
Manage and direct product development programs and projects from concept to production
Provide technical content and concepts in product design, analysis and cost reduction programs
Interact with customers and suppliers on new products offering innovative and cost reduced design ideas
Assist in deployment of lean systems and processes
Requirements:
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
3+ yrs of design experience in fabricated and machined metal products
Experience in engineered to order environment preferred
Experience in developing innovative products preferred
Experience in mechanical test and instrumentation methodologies, process and equipment and the capability to create and execute a test plan
Lean experience
Proficient in Solidworks
Experience in the value engineering process
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 10%
