Minimum Requirements: Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
Working knowledge of Autocad 2010 and Microsoft Office.
Engineer will be required to coordinate with other disciplines, especially electrical engineers and architects. You will be expected to manage work provided by drafters.
Travel to site and significant site survey work will be required; therefore, employee will need to be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., climb a ladder and traverse a cat walk up to 50 feet above floor level, when necessary.
Duties will include approximately 3-4 weeks of site survey work at the project site of Laughlin AFB followed by up to 5 months of design/engineering work in the Denver office.
The successful candidate will be required to pass a DOD criminal background check administered by the client. Job Description: Successful candidate will provide assessments of facility conditions, review HVAC and control system designs, perform design of new and replacement systems under the supervision of senior staff members.
You will be expected to accurately obverse and document existing HVAC and especially controls conditions, communicate conditions to drafting personnel for drawing creation, perform design duties including calculations, drafting/red lining and specification editing under the supervision of senior staff.
