The selected individual will design tooling and processes to improve the productivity and cost effectiveness of a world class super alloy powder producer. The candidate will work independently to develop proposals and then with a team during implementation to insure adoption is successful.
- Mechanical Engineering- Candidate should be able to break down complicated systems into individual pieces to improve productivity
- Process Development/Tool Design- Visualize improvement opportunities and convert these into processes that meet aerospace quality standards.
- Project Management- With assistance from the Engineering Manager, determine justification, develop project schedules and identify opportunities and risks associated with ideas. Develop risk mitigation strategies to manage risk.
- Technical Writing- Prepare technical specifications and other documents that can be used to procure technical services and products or work instructions.
- Candidate should be familiar with mechanical design, pneumatics/hydraulic, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer.

- Solidworks knowledge, (AutoCad is a plus)
- Basic Microsoft Office computer skills
- Understand material strength, stress and calculations as such
- Knowledge of Metallurgy and/or PLC's a plus but not required.
