Project
Parsons is providing engineering and facility management support to the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD, and other government facilities in the surrounding area. This team member will interact with Parsons engineering and construction team members as well as our subcontractors, vendors and government clients. This is approximately a 3 to 6 month temporary assignment.
Need
Parsons is seeking a mechanical drafter to prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc. The successful candidate will produce these drawings from rough sketches, orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs, and/or supplier and manufacturer information. You must be competent in the use of AutoCAD using ADT software. Your drawings will ensure the constructability, operational capability, and safety of the equipment and must be compliant with mechanical design guides, standards, specifications, and procedures.

* 2+ years of mechanical drafting experience, preferably for a governmental client * Track record of creating accurate basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc * Ability to read 2D and 3D designs * Proficiency in AutoCAD using ADT software * High school diploma or equivalent and associates degree preferred * Proof of U.S. citizenship
