MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER, Thermal Deposition
Location: St. Paul, MN
This job is a key position in a small, flexible engineering group that is developing new deposition technologies for the MBE and OLED thermal deposition markets. The ideal candidate will have broad education in mechanical engineering and some experience with vacuum technology, semiconductor processing equipment or capital equipment design. This individual will work closely with applications and other design engineers to develop systems that provide for highly capable thermal deposition sources and systems. Through modeling, CAD, and development of hardware prototypes, the engineer will successfully develop commercial products that offer cost of ownership advantages compared to other systems and technologies. Typical projects will be on development schedules of less than a year.
Work with Senior Mechanical Engineer to design advanced thermal evaporation sources and systems
Design components that balance performance, cost, and reliability using a wide range of technologies
Work with mechanical drafters and designers to transition design concepts into manufacturability products.
