Manufacturing and assembly support of electronic products. Supports definition of requirements for materials, parts and processes used in the manufacture of products Drafts specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts and processes. Assists in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs. Assists with development and qualification of new materials, parts and processes to meet requirements. Assists with activities to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements. Conducts routine analysis to determine reasons for failures of materials, parts or processes. Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions. Develops computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements. Works under general supervision.

Knowledge of Parts, Materials and Processes management and control, producibility, application limitations, packaging and handling, radiation effects, reliability, failure modes, failure analysis and techniques, instrumentation, assembly and repair methods, obsolescence, drawings and fabrication, screening and qualification, derating.
Preferred - General knowledge of Parts, Materials and Processes related to Electrical, Electronic, Electro-mechanical, Electro-optical commodities. Typical Education/Experience
Level 1 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience.
