Material Coordinator Country Kuwait Work Location Kuwait Job Description POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the HBCT/IBCT/TSS Supervisor and with technical assistance and guidance from the Warehouse Manager is responsible for APS5 equipment inventory levels to ensure adequate stocks are on hand to support APS5 requirements. Responsible to prevent line stoppers through implementation of aggressive supply monitoring, follow-up, etc. Responsible for pulling, schedule scanning, and delivery of APS5 assets requiring maintenance services.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Please list by order of priority and, if possible, provide the percentage of time spent on the activity all should equal 100%.
1. Ensures that requisitions for all APS5 equipment including CLII, III, IV and IX are being monitored and tracked. 2. Ensures that all APS5 equipment receives necessary scheduled maintenance. 2. Ensures that local purchases are coordinated for shortages with CAP/CAS and ensures proper documentation and records are provided and maintained IAW FAR, SOW, ARs, etc. 3. Ensures stockage levels are being monitored and that inventory data is accurate. 4. Collect, sort and analyze data using multiple STAMIS' and software applications. 5. Communicates regularly with Item Managers, DLA Representatives, LARs and other contract representatives to expedite requisitions directly in line with mission priorities. 6. Supervises the use of programs such as ILAP, WEBVLIPS and ITV to obtain status and asset visibility and track shipments of requisitions. 7. Manages SAR's and high priority offline requisitions IAW applicable ARs. 8. Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 9. May be required to travel on/off the installation to pick up/drop off or research information for materials, repair parts or supplies as determined by the Site or Support Operations Manager. 10. Performs other duties and assignments as required.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is generally conducted in a shop environment; however, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published company work rules. Required Experience: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of five years experience in logistics with primary knowledge in CLIX management. Three years end user experience with Army STAMIS and/or AWRDS/SDS. One year experience in leadership position. Knowledge of FAR, DFAR and ARs desirable.
Skills: Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
