AutoReqId 6432BR Job Title Mask Designer II SanDisk Job Description In this position, the individual will be responsible for developing standard cell libraries, macro cell libraries, and cell-level and block-level layouts. The individual will support optimization of various blocks including routing and via optimization, support full chip activities including tape-out and ECO's after initial tape-out and support test structure development including structures necessary for design rule development. The individual will work as part of a physical design team and with the layout manager & layout project lead.
This position typically requires a minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience with experience with Cadence "VLE, VXL,CCAR, PCELL" layout and schematic tools, Hercules/Calibre DRC/LVS verification tools, and with the Unix environment. The individual needs to be able to debug DRC/LVS with some guidance, layout basic transistors, must be capable of manual routing and semi-auto routing, and must have knowledge of I/O layout circuits, ESD layout circuits. In addition, the individual must have basic understanding of analog layout matching and routing, basic understanding of memory layout and its hierarchy, and basic LVS/DRC debugging skills. The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. The individual must be self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have also demonstrated ability to work well with people and have a proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. In addition, the individual must have the abilities to work effectively cross-functionally, coordinate priorities and initiatives, troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required.
