To learn more about DuPont Washington Works, visit: /> The Senior Automation & Process Control Engineer will provide electrical and process control engineering support for the DuPont Fluoropolymers unit at Washington Works, including troubleshooting of process issues. The job scope includes identifying, developing the scope, and leading minor and medium capital improvement projects as well as leading the electrical part on major capital improvement projects. The successful candidate for the position will support process technology guardians to increase demonstrated production capability and address safety and environmental issues, and provide functional guidance and mentoring for other process control consultants on site. Must be able to work independently and network with peers for better leveraging of ideas and solutions. * Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering * A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively as a process control engineer in an industrial or manufacturing environment (includes related co-op experience). * Track record of implementing small capital projects * Demonstrated leadership skills * Demonstrated broad knowledge of process control, instrumentation, control systems, information technology, safety interlocks. Must have good working knowledge of DCS, PLC and single loop controllers. Working knowledge of ABB (Bailey) Infi 90, and/or Honeywell Experion DCS's, Modicon PLC's is an asset. * Good interpersonal and communication skills (written & oral). Must work well in both self-managed and team environment . This position requires the individual to work through productive collaborative relationships with inside customers, vendors, operations, mechanical and technical personnel. * Individual must possess a track record of fostering a respectful work environment * Must be self motivated and have great attention to detail * Training and experience with Process Hazard Analysis, root cause failure analysis, environmental and quality initiatives * Strong trouble shooting skills * Ability to learn and mentor others.
