Job Title Manufacturing Tech Job ID Number 11-5364 Company Electric Boat Location Kings Bay, GA Job Category Aerospace/Aviation/Defense Job Description This position is at the TRIDENT Submarine Base Kings Bay, GA. Experience with Hull, Mechanical, Electrical and Welding (HME&O) system installation and testing of multiple ships systems on Ohio Class ships preferred. Selected Individual will be responsible for performing electrical, mechanical, welding and piping systems maintenance in accordance with NAVSEA/SSP approved procedures. Successful candidate should have thorough working knowledge of ships systems and equipment. In support of the modernization of ships systems, all forms of shipyard installation trades, i.e. welding, brazing, electrical/electronic, mechanical, riggers, piping, and structural qualifications will be considered. Candidates must be flexible as well as adaptable in a team environment. Ability to learn and apply manufacturing skills to effectively and efficiently plan, organize, implement, measure, and control manufacturing processes will be required.
High School or equivalent certification.
0-5 years shipyard or Navy involvement with repair and testing of SWSS systems and components.
Ability to use NAVSEA/SP and ships drawings, technical manuals, Ships Systems Manuals and various other documents in the performance of this task is required. Prior experience as a missile technician, auxiliary machinist mate, or shipyard test organization mechanical technician with extensive experience in operation and maintenance of HM&E and SWS equipment is preferred.
