Manufacturing Process Engineer
A Plymouth, Michigan manufacturer of large CNC machined components and assemblies for powertrain, chassis and suspension systems used on military and commercial applications is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer who can continuously improve and implement manufacturing processes and systems.
· Manage multiple assignments toward an effective and timely conclusion
· Identify and quantify process improvement opportunities
· Plan, sell, and execute process improvement projects meeting or exceeding identified targets
· Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and perseverance in the achievement of department assignments
· Effective time management with minimal supervision required
· Identify, document, monitor, and measure new product processes
Requirements:
· Knowledge and work experience processing turning, milling, gear cutting, and assembly operations
· Knowledge and work experience using data driven process improvement methods
· Knowledge and work experience in the application of lean technologies
· Knowledge and work experience in workholding design
· Knowledge and experience in applied metal cutting
· Knowledge and work experience in workflow and throughput analysis
· Knowledge and experience in the procurement and launch of manufacturing process equipment
· Knowledge and experience as an effective leader and contributor of a cross functional team
· Knowledge and work experience in cost effective and on-time launch of new processes
· Self-directed completion and effective management of a wide variety of engineering assignments
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Positive contributor to a collaborative and focused team of engineers
· Hands – on problem solving
· Degreed or certified engineering proficiency with a minimum of 5 years experience
· Proficiency with MS Office software
