Manufacturing Planner 2\3
This manufacturing planning position will be supporting the Interior Responsibility Center in Charleston, SC. The planner will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions to define and document as-built configuration. This position requires a thorough understanding of manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives to include but not limited to the following. Act as a liaison between final assembly and fabrication to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements. Review and coordinate supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met. Investigate and resolve manufacturing related issues. Perform producibility assessments for part or product cost and schedules. Develop integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments. Draft, update and review processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements. Liaison/Material Review Support Activity (MRSA) Manufacturing Engineering (ME), interiors and composite experienced is highly desired. Enovia & CATIA, Assembly Detail Process Plan (ADPP), Online Work Instructions (OWI), Product Data Management (PDM), DELMIA, Shop Floor Control (SFC) cards/orders skills are preferred.

Basic - General knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data). Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements.
Preferred - Complete knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data). Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements.
• Fabrication and Assembly Tools
Basic - General knowledge of tool functions and capabilities (e.g., indexing, fixturing, handling) to support the manufacturing processes and flow.

• Materials & Processing
Basic - Universal knowledge of material processing for metals (e.g., welding forging, heat treat, machining, forming), polymers and composites (e.g., autoclave curing, lay-up, co-curing, repair), sealants and finishes processing (e.g., plating, painting, surface preparation, fay surface sealing, fillet sealing), and ceramic (e.g., high temperature processing, machining) and electronic materials (e.g., soldering, printed circuit board cleaning, conformal coating).

Typical Education/Experience
Level 2 - AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level 3 - AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Job related information
AA degree is preferred, but not required. This position may require a temporary assignment in Puget Sound for training and orientation. Position requires the physical ability to work in a manufacturing environment and be able to access all areas of the airplane which includes, but is not limited to, the ability to climb stairs and ladders. All employees will be on the Boeing Charleston benefit structure. All Boeing Commercial Airplane Charleston positions require an online pre-employment assessment test.
