Manufacturing Manager K

Boeing Charleston is looking for Manufacturing Managers to help support the fabrication, assembly and delivery of the 47/48 section to 787 Final Assembly and Delivery. Responsible for promoting the growth and development of mature manufacturing processes and techniques designed to support increasing production rates and program requirements. The successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of leadership in a highly dynamic, fast paced environment with the capability to effectively manage work groups, deliver results and implement change, especially in the area of lean manufacturing and shop floor visibility utilizing employee engagement techniques. Openings are for 787 Aft-Body Assembly management positions. Individuals must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Responsible for managing employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines. Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Other Job related information
Typical Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred and/or minimum four (4) years' related work experience. Successful candidate must have knowledge of Lean concepts, Lean Manufacturing Assessment (LMA) process, and Employee Involvement Teams, with work experience on or around aircraft, knowledge in safety, and quality control are a plus. Strong communication skills are required. Candidate must be proficient in use of databases and basic desktop software applications. All employees will be on the Boeing Charleston benefit structure. All Boeing Commercial Airplane Charleston positions will require an online pre-employment assessment test. Candidates selected for the test will be notified via e-mail.
