Manufacturing Engineer, Senior Level
Our client, a full service designer and manufacturer of custom made metal products and assemblies, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for its plant near Baltimore, MD.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is a key senior level position for the efficient and productive operation of the plant’s manufacturing operations. The incumbent will provide leadership for a team of professional colleagues charged with the design, development, manufacture and launch of customer-specified products. Additionally the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will evaluate existing equipment manufacturing capabilities with respect to the manufacturing requirements of new products. This is a senior level position that requires expertise in this field.
Additional responsibilities and accountabilities for the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will include:
Direct and coordinate the acquisition and installation of new equipment.
Lead the design of tooling and fixtures
Lead efforts to achieve dimensional tolerances and accommodate material characteristics,
Lead the specification of testing requirements for new products
Coordinate and prepare project documentation
Requirements:
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology from four-year college or university
7-10 years related experience and/or training.
Requires strong knowledge of machinery and experience in machining centers and grinding.
Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems required.
SPC experience required.
CNC controls and programming experience desirable.
Must be US Citizen.
