Manufacturing Engineer CNC Programmer
Techstaff, The Technical Placement Specialists, is celebrating twenty years of providing staffing services to the Tampa Bay area. We want you to be our next placement as a CNC Programmer/Mfg Engineer with an emphasis on programming 5 Axis machines
Develop and troubleshoot CNC programs for various CNC lathes and machining centers using CAM software (Esprit). Create N/C setup sheets that include the tooling layout required holding fixtures for the programmed part. Interact with shop personnel and machine operators while proving out programs. Identifies and develops process and equipment needed to produce specific products, parts and components. Works with ERP system to create and maintain routings. Process Engineering Changes through Manufacturing Engineering to ensure all paperwork and electronic files are updated.
Requirements:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing or related field desired, but not required.
7 plus years experience with 5+ plus years CNC programming experience desired.
Candidate must be familiar with all types of CNC machines and cutting tools. Experience with CAD/CAM systems with the ability to create geometry, run tool paths and generate CNC programs through post processors for various CNC machines is essential. Must be ability to write programs from scratch using canned cycles or line for line programming. Esprit (CAM) programming experience is helpful. SmartCAM, MasterCAM, FeatureCAM, GibbsCAM or other CAM systems experience is also acceptable. 5-Axis Mill-Turn programming experience strongly preferred. Leslie Controls has a Mori Seiki NT4300 (MT4300 is the same type machine). Candidates with experience with this or similar machine highly preferable.

Machinist with CNC/CAM system experience also welcomed.
