Manager, Supply Chain Operations

Provide leadership and oversight of Supply Chain Operations teams as they perform planning and purchasing functions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage the performance of team members, to include:
o writing and delivering performance appraisals
o administering disciplinary action when warranted
o providing positive recognition when warranted
o liaising with Human Resources to ensure consistency in administration and compliance with Company policies.
o focusing on the development of high potential employees.
• Manage and develop co-workers to achieve high quality and productivity in concert with Stryker's goals.
• Ensure all employees are provided with proper training and development. Monitor and drive timely e3 training completion.
• Develop and implement Supply Chain, Planning and Procurement strategies.
• Manages the development, implementation and maintenance of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in all areas listed above
• Works closely with Team Leaders and Managers in the Production, Purchasing, Operations, Finance, Production Control, SDE, and Logistics teams to ensure that overall business objectives are met
• Evaluate opportunities, create and implement solutions, and facilitate a metrics program to measure improvement of the supply chain
• Execute change across departments through: coordinating cross-functional teams, seeking internal and external customer feedback and tracking results
• Develop supply chain best practices, key learnings and communicate across the supply chain team
• Develops customer confidence in materials management and supply base management through customer interaction.
• Develops systems, processes and metrics to drive continuous improvement in the effectiveness of the Supply Chain Management Group, and to support division goals.
• Ensure that internal and external customers receive the highest level of service.
• Maintain operational integrity of assigned area of responsibility.
• Ensure that processes are effectively established, followed, monitored and optimized.
• Monitor and report on revenue and inventory plan and identify issues and recommend solutions and/or take action as appropriate for assigned business units.
• Monitor capacity planning requirements and recommend solutions and/or take action as appropriate.
• Develop planning analysis and assessment tools.
• Monitor and report on inventory levels and planned order quantities at both the component and finished good level and generate action plans to ensure that inventory levels are optimized, and excess inventory is dispositioned, to support business objectives.
• Develop and implement advanced Planning processes.
• Mentor the manufacturing teams in accordance with goals, objectives and development plans.
• Work directly with customers to gain an understanding of a customer's planning system and how Stryker and the customer's processes interact. Will negotiate supplier delivery.
• Leads other team members as needed to ensure customer needs are met.
• Provide access to a broad range of resources and business contacts for the team to be successful in their projects.
• Drive analysis, gather supply chain best practices and develop strategies in support of supply chain business case development.
• Present results to Senior Management in Operations and occasionally other Business Unit executives.
• Develop optimized inventory/revenue plan through collaboration with customers, suppliers and internally.
• Recommend and implement improvements to the extended supply chain process in order to gain efficiencies in both Stryker's processes and the customer's processes.

Qualifications/Work Experience

• 5 years experience in a supply chain management role or a similar role required. 2 years of leadership experience directly managing staff.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated presentation skills??????
• Demonstrated computer skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Word).
• Demonstrated proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (Oracle, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated expertise in supply chain management and ability to drive initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment when representing the company in supply chain decisions.

Education and/or Special Training

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business. Prefer an MBA. Also prefer CPM or CPIM certification.
