Manager, Operations Development Engineering

This position requires high motivation, professional experience in the area of manufacturing process engineering in a business start-up environment. Position demands strong skill and knowledge of machining processes, fixture design and capital equipment to achieve a high level of efficiency, quality and equipment utilization. Responsibilities include:
Evaluation and selection of new equipment for purchase for HS Wroclaw (Poland) operations for targeted in-loading product. This includes making decisions on make, model and capability requirements working with the various machine manufacturers in the region.
The generation and implementation of process engineering standard work for machined products.
Leadership and coordination between numerous part family Transition Managers and the HS Wroclaw process engineering team to ensure that all project milestones are achieved.
Selection and management of process engineering contracted labor staff, both US and Poland based.
Management of the equipment capital budget for the HS Wroclaw project focused on manufacturing cost reduction through effective machining process designs.
Generation and presentation of project status to HS executive staff on a scheduled basis. This includes reviews with internationally based HS entities that are active with the HS Wroclaw projects.
Strong leadership, communication and coordination skill are required in order to work effectively with this positions peer HS Wroclaw Engineering Manager to develop a best-in-class manufacturing facility. Travel of up to 40% will be required for at least the first year of performance in this role.
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
