Posted Position Title Manager of Operational Excellence Career Level Experienced Function Manufacturing Function Segment Lean Six Sigma Location United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces Louisiana City Alexandria Postal Code 71309-1430 Relocation Assistance Yes Role Summary/Purpose The Manager of Operational Excellence leads the OpEx Team in monitoring and improvement of processes to ensure the highest quality product by utilizing GE and industry best practices. In this role, you will: Essential Responsibilities * Responsible for process conformance to ASME sections I, II, & VII regulatory, and customer requirements
* Analyzes and improves organizational quality metrics and documents operational improvement needs to evaluate results
* Recommends actions plans to close gaps at an operational level
* Supports supply chain organization in the supplier quality development by assisting with evaluation of supplier product and process capability
* Champion's Factory-Cost Out through, and general process efficiency improvement activities to optimize the use of capital and human resources
* Implements methods and practices to reduce variation, with a goal of attaining Six Sigma quality levels
* Understand the application of SPC and gage effective use within the factory
* Lead and/or Perform root cause and corrective action analysis as required
* Participates in Pro Launch project reviews and gate reviews where appropriate as the OpEx technical expert Qualifications/Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment using advanced Quality / Lean systems
* Minimum of 2 years of experience managing and developing multiple OpEx teams ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

* Thorough working knowledge with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen events, continuous improvement, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies
* Strong technical writing and presentation skills
* Strong verbal interpersonal and communication skills
* Significant knowledge of manufacturing structures, varied processes, operating practices, and operating budgets
