The AIM Group is an industry leading international staffing company that specializes in the placement of permanent and contract personnel within the Oil and Gas and Energy sector. We are currently seeking a Manager, Electrical & Controls to work with one of our Owner/Operator Clients in Calgary, AB. Position Overview: The Electrical & Controls Manager is resonsible for management of the electrical engineering group which includes management of engineers and designers involved in all aspects of Electrical design, purchasing and related construction on projects. Structure: The Electrical & Controls Manager reports directly to the Senior Manager, Engineering. He also provides support to estimating and any project that contains electrical scope and will work closely with project managers. Specific Accountabilities: Develop and manage the engineering and project management aspects for the electrical scopes of work Oversee the electrical scope of work on all projects Build and maintain electrical cost estimating system Generating cost estimates for electrical scope of work on projects Identifying & develop electrical scope of work on construction projects Coordination and management of external electrical engineering consultants Cordination and management of electrical construction thru sub-contractors Assisting purchasing with procurement of electrical equipment Tracking of cost vs estimates on electrical construction Technical support to Project Managers Operate within ISO Quality system and company safety policy in all phases of assignments. Safety, Cost, Schedule and Quality related to work executed Uphold the company Code of Ethics Other duties as assigned Educational & Experience Requirements: Electrical Engineering Degree ore equivalent 15+ Years experience in the electrical industry involved in project execution Strong background with both commercial and industrial electrical projects Electrical estimating experience Design builds project experience Strong organizational and communication skills General understanding of the CEC, NEC and related building codes Knowledge of modular buildings and construction would be an asset Please submit your resume to We thank all applicants for their interest in The AIM Group ; however, only those considered for an interview will be contacted.
