Posted Position Title Lead Reliability Engineer Career Level Entry-Level Function Engineering/Technology Function Segment Product Design and Development Location United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces Wisconsin City Waukesha Postal Code 53188-1696 Relocation Assistance Yes Role Summary/Purpose Join a global engineering team utilizing advanced design tools and techniques to develop state-of-the-art CT systems for leadership medical diagnostic imaging systems. The Lead Reliability Engineer is responsible for leading reliability activities throughout the product design lifecycle. The successful Reliability Engineer will partner with project leaders, the R&D development team, and cross functional members to ensure reliability is a mainstay of our products. Essential Responsibilities 1. Create, review, and execute reliability planning, testing, and analysis activities for Premium CT Hardware. 2. Ensure quality and reliability requirements are incorporated into product and part specifications for new and existing products. Drive hardware reliability assessments and predictions during design. 3. Implement reliability growth and/or qualification tests to validate predictions. 4. Identify testing parameters, test protocol and work with design engineer to ensure tests plans meets the product needs. 5. Promote and mentor engineers in the Design for Reliability (DFR) methodologies across the team. 6. Identify, select, maintain, develop troubleshoot, and upgrade test equipment for use in the reliability lab. 7. Run reliability engineering tests 8. Analyze field failure data to discover reliability trends / issues and develop action plans to address those issues.
Quality Specific Goals: 1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required 4. Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables 5. Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible. Qualifications/Requirements 1. BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with a strong focus on reliability. 2. 3 or more years engineering design experience, including at least 1 year with an emphasis on reliability processes. 3. Test Equipment development, and Laboratory hands-on experience
