In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. In this role of Lead Operations Manager, you will: Essential Responsibilities * Direct the work of hourly employees in a particular cell or cells to meet safety, quality, production and delivery metrics while driving continuous improvement across key business objectives
* Achieve highest safety levels in the plant and achieve highest levels of internal and external customer service
* Develop, coordinate, lead, and execute daily production plans and coordinate consistent and effective shift-to-shift transition
* Develop and implement process controls
* Support cell leader in the strategic planning of manpower, equipment, and other resources
* Employ Six Sigma rigors to all functions within the cell(s)
* Mentor and motivate team in safety, quality and productivity improvements
* Coordinate resources to achieve goals with a timely and cost-effective strategy
* Lead and assist in daily operations to include, training plans, performance feedback, production scheduling, project implementation, continuous process improvement, production goals, customer and supplier quality, and communication with business leadership and employees
* Be responsible for the key metrics which include Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) performance, quality, output, schedule achievement, cost reduction, and workforce development
* Embrace Lean manufacturing vision and thrive in a team environment with stringent regulatory requirements and high performance expectations and subsequent recommendations Qualifications/Requirements * Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering or production management position)
* Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in an engineering or production management role Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
