In this role, you will be actively involved in the mechanical design of projects develop cutting edge technology that serves a broad portfolio of applications in hostile downhole environments. Essential Responsibilities * Assist in the definition of state-of-the-art Measure-while-Drilling technologies to be developed and applied in current and future business opportunities
* Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards and product requirements
* Act as the design authority for the sensor packaging and mechanical application aspects of the instruments you are involved in developing
* Develop practical and innovative ways to design for manufacture and field serviceability
* Leverage expertise to resolve problems found during the manufacturing process or in the field
* Document and ensure technical data generated is consistent with engineering policies and procedures
* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers Qualifications/Requirements * Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in an R&D environment
* Minimum of 10 years of experience designing downhole equipment / tools for Oil & Gas Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
